Of course, as Caitlyn Jenner walks to the stage, one of the athletes they show is Favre.

Not suggesting ESPN will last forever. Just saying, don't pretend ESPN is somehow in trouble. ESPN could lose 90% of its value and it would still be worth twice as much as ABC.

7.2 million fewer viewers than four years ago. As more cord cutting options become available, that number will grow ...

"But a recent survey by DigitalSmiths suggested that only 35.7% of consumers would include ESPN in their cable lineup if they were able to pick and choose their channels (a la carte TV). In fact, the channel came in at 20th place in terms of the most desired channels among those surveyed. So according to SNL Kagan data, there are about 94.5 million homes each paying $6.41 per month ($7.5 billion annually) for a channel they're not really all that interested in. "

ESPN's Facebook post about Jenners award was up for 15 minutes and over 1000 people already posted disparaging comments about ESPN and the award. Not bashing Jennervas much as bashing ESPN for devaluing the name of Arthur Ashe.

    BTW, Jenner bought the award

How did Jenner buy the award?

Quid pro quo. Jenner gives the exclusive to ABC and Diane Sawyer, ESPN validates Caitlyn with a coming out party and award

The amount of people on that thread saying Lauren Hill deserved that award (and she did) gives me mild hope for humanity.

Rumor has it he is throwing ESPN a few bones on his reality show in exchange for the award.

Do the same people applauding Jenner's courage even remember that she killed someone six months ago and has so far faced no consequences for it?
