In SoCal tonight: Western Christian 78, Whittier Christian 74. Assuming it was not 11-man?

    And I love new records.

This is what's wrong with newspapers. Whittier *has* a daily, and website, and there's not a blasted thing about the 152-point game online at 7:22 a.m. (EST)

Their prep page at least references the game in the "How the Top 10 fared" roundup, with "That's no typo!" after the score. But otherwise, yeah, nothing.

Though I note that Whittier Christian was No. 9 in the top 10 and the defeat dropped them to ... 0-5.

To be fair, we'd probably treat an 0-5 team low on the pecking order in our coverage area the same way. The high score might've earned them a spot on our prep pullout cover. Maybe.

Teams score 152 you write 100 words and lead the roundup.

    8-man

    Otis-Bison 104
    Kinsley 70

    Other game I reffed last night (11-man)......stud qb who is a K-State commit. 10 carries, 308 yards, 4 TD. 8-13, 138 yards, 2 TD.......and played a minute into the 4th quarter.

Pennsylvania small-school power Clairton has won its five games by 70-0, 86-0, 74-0, 70-13 and now 72-0.

And that's with a running clock at the 35-point margin.

Whittier Christian plays 11-man and has been a very successful program for many years, apparently not this year.
The school is not in Whittier or even L.A. County, it's in La Habra in Orange County. However, the game was played at Whittier College.
As for its 0-5 record, a few of those were forfeited when the school self-reported an ineligible player.
