Especially when traffic is more outbound than inbound.

Took an eight-man call-in last night for a state semifinal -- between archrivals no less -- that finished up 72-66.
Team A (the winning team) trailed by 22 with 8 1/2 minutes left, rallied to tie it at 58, then traded a couplee of quick touchdowns with Team B to make it 66-66 with under a minute left. Team A got the ball back with about 15 seconds left and wound up scoring on a 55-yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game -- and not a hail mary either; the receiver had to catch it and run about 25 yards to the end zone -- to win and punch its ticket to the state championship game.

Team A is in its first season of eight-man football after sucking for more than a decade as an 11-man team. It won one game last season and forfeited its finale because it didn't have enough players. It had won a total of seven games the past three seasons combined, and is 8-1 this year heading into the title game.
This ought to be a feel-good Disney movie in 2018 or so.

They should be well-rested, though, since they only played eight regular-season games, right?

Correct. And had a bye week the last week of the regular season. They'll need it, too, considering the team they're facing in the championship game has won 27 in a row and steamrolled damn near everybody they've played.
