Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill ... ugh

One of these is opening in my little piece of America's urban sprawl. Anyone ever been to one?

I saw it when I was looking for quality work opportunities minimum wage, 15-hour-a-week jobs at the new strip mall that's opening. Toby's gracing us with his presence. I won't apply, because cripples really can't handle the hectic restaurant life. But for the stories I could one day tell ... it has potential. Just looking at the website, I can almost smell the beer burps, cigarette smoke, and desperation that comes when there are at least two men for every one woman in the club.

They're opening one in my town soon, but I won't believe it until I see it. They started construction on it like three years ago, it seems.

Apparently, they serve beer in Mason jars. Good enough for me!

I walked past one in Vegas once. My condolences.

To express dislike for all things Toby Keith is part of the manifesto. I've been
to the one at Patriots Plaza in Foxboro. Pretty lively place that I would imagine on
a game day would be really lively. The vibe was "Southie" meets "Country"

I grabbed lunch at the one in Rosemont -- future home of the Cubs.

It was pretty dead for lunch, but the place was huge, with multiple bars and a stage (or maybe even two).

I asked the bartender how many bartenders are on during a busy Friday or Saturday night. I don't remember the exact answer, but it was something like 20.

One of the better chain-bars in Vegas -- certainly more fun/better food than Coyote Ugly or Magaritaville.

I was at a conference in a casino where this was one of the only lunch options. It wasn't bad, but definitely way overpriced. It's not great, but not awful.

IIRC, it had a surprisingly decent beer selection.

    I'm opposed to chain bars.

Nothing about this place sounds appealing to me. Would rather to to an ESPN Zone or Dave and Busters and play pop-a-shot after my mediocre meal than to listen to bad pop/country after my mediocre meal.

I walked past one at the WinStar casino in Oklahoma Friday night. I had no desire to go in. Celebrity-themed bars/restaurants are just not appealing to me.

Thirded. The staffs at those places always hate their jobs so much more than bartenders and waiters at local places.
