Why anybody still doesn't trust TMZ and is surprised that it "comes off as credible" is beyond me.

It just seems that there should be a "best practices" method of dispensing pain and other potentially addictive meds to addicts, rather than the honor system. Don't know what it would look like, really, but seems like there should be something.

Capriati recovering from 'accidental' OD of meds
    43 minutes ago

Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati was recovering Monday from an accidental overdose of prescribed medication, a family spokeswoman said.

The 34-year-old Capriati, once ranked No. 1 in a career sidetracked by personal troubles, was in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery, spokeswoman Lacey Wickline told The Associated Press. She declined to identify the medication.

Capriati was rushed to a South Florida hospital early Sunday morning, she said. Wickline would not say how Capriati was found or who called emergency services.

"In response to an outpouring of concern and support shown by Jennifer's fans and friends worldwide, we would like to acknowledge that Jen is recuperating at a South Florida hospital from an accidental overdose of medication prescribed to Jen by her personal physician," Wickline said. "Jen is recovering fully and stably."

Didn't they both drop out of the Olympics days before competition began because of "injury?"

    My ass.

My ass too. If she were truly injured, she would have waited until she lost a match to tell anybody about it.

Which Olympics? Capriati won gold in 1992.

May she get out of the hospital in time to have a litter of burnout babies with Todd Marinovich and his Big Mac.

Both pulled out (TWSS) days before the 2004 Games began.

The Capriati news makes me think there is a sphere of "celebrity" that only gets you on the front of a website if you die, almost die, get busted for a crime or "come out."

  11. This is interesting. Her boyfriend sounds wholesome...

    Hilarious.

You date/shack up with a guy named Dale DaBone, a veteran of 400+ porn films, and you get sent into a "downward spiral" because he decides to return to porn, something you "despise."

I mean, if you fuckin' despised porn that much, how/why did you hook up with Dale DaBone? Because of his views on Italian Renaissance painting or his ability to play the "Moonlight Sonata" backwards on the ukelele?
