TJ surgery for Pujols??

    Pujols played most of that season in LF because Tino Martinez was at first base. You may recall from "Three Nights in August" that Edgar Renteria went out to left field on base hits to take short throws from Pujols or he flipped the ball to Jim Edmonds if it was a ball hit into left center.

    Seriously, what caused the injury? I don't see that anywhere in the story.

    Good point. The article only has when the injury occurred, not how. Maybe somebody that has followed this more closely knows.
