Tivo and DirecTV

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by You're With Me Leather, Jan 9, 2008.

  1. I just made the switch from cable to DirecTV. Here's my question: I have this old Tivo box that I have been using for the last couple years on my cable box. When I ordered DirecTV, I got their DVR box for my living room and their standard receiver for the bedroom. Since I am already paying for their DVR service, is there a way I can hook up my old Tivo box with the standard receiver and get DVR/Tivo on that as well?

No. Tivo doesn't work with DirecTV boxes that way.
Now, if you want to just do manual records, that's fine, but do not expect the same interaction like it had with the cable box.
