Tip or not

    Already did the drink bit. Filled a Nalgene bottle with ice water and tossed it up there. He drank all 32 ounces in one swig.

    Yeah, I follow the same guidelines you do but do around 15% or a little more instead of 10%. Of course if it's really bad service I tip less and great service means more.

    I start at 15-20, going down or up. I tipped our waitress like 30 percent the other night because she hated the sorostitutes who were dancing around our table nearly as much as we did.

    Plus, she told us a story about getting puked on her first night.

    Does anyone here tip the Starbucks guy? I never do. And I always feel like a jerk.

    In what situation would a journalist get tipped?

    Seems like we're always getting tossed, instead.

    Does anyone here tip the maid service when they're on the road?

    Rarely. Maybe that makes me a dick, but I don't see what I'm tipping for.

    On the other hand, 20 percent is my standard in any other situation.

    If I ask for something extra, I will. I usually don't though.
