    In the early 1970s, experts decided that it was time to take us off the gold standard.

    Experts at the time thought so. Hence, it was the correct decision.

    It is mathematically impossible to have a sub-zero ERA. It'd be awesome to see, though.

    Yeah that's what I get for typing really quickly. I meant sub 4. And it was stupid since I was responding to a comment about sub 3 anyway :)
