I would be surprised if CBS doesn't get dramatically younger on the NFL Today in the next couple of years. Perhaps the only holdover being Cowher.

CBS has to do something on that morning show. It just has such a second-rate feel to it, compared with the others. We're in more than just a FOX and CBS world in pre-game shows. I usually only watch Countdown.

If CBS is really serious about a solid show, they'll go for inside information specialists along with the usual ex-coach and ex-quarterback.

How about more of this young lady?

Tim Brando was in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Wednesday night working the N.C. State-Wake Forest men's basketball game. He and Dan Bonner are about as good as it gets on the ACC Network.

Good to see that someone still thinks highly of him.

Brando has been hired by the SEC Network, per Brett McMurphy on Twitter.

Real and spectacular ... also the fiancee of Angels relief pitcher Joe Smith.

How many folks actually watch pre-game shows anymore? It's been years since I have paid attention, although I do sometimes turn on College Gameday as background noise in the morning but I stopped doing that once my little girl stopped being mesmerized by the various mascots.

The URL looks like "Free Bacon" ... as in rakin' that bacon.

CBS had former Washington General Manager Charlie Casserly (?sp) providing "inside" information a couple of years back. Would he fit the bill?

I do not watch the network pregame shows very often, but I would be sorry to see James Brown go. He keeps a tight rein on things, from what I can tell. And yes, it looks like Cowher would be the only former player/coach still on set since they are doing a shakeup now.
