I heard a stat on MSNBC this weekend that should tell the tale in 2024:

Since 2020, 32 million kids turned 18 and 20 million olds passed on to the next plane. That is a net plus of 52M in the potential electorate.

    I ain't skeered.

Shouldn't it be a 12 million increase in the potential electorate?

Some folks claim that dead folks always vote Democrat.

    12 million more "people voting."

But Biden will get 113 million votes (81M+32M). And Trump will get only 54 million (74M-20M). So a plus-52 million in Biden's victory margin!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because we all know 100% of people who turn 18 will vote, and will vote for Biden.
And every person who dies voted for Trump.

It's amazing Democrats ever lose an election anywhere.

Yes, 12 million overall, but a 52 million swing in favor of the demographic more likely to vote Dem.

The demographic in the country is perceptibly shifting, and the raw statistics don't care if fee-fees are hurt over it.

We'll leave the brownification of the country alone because it gets asses even more chapped.

There's this misconception that "the olds are dying off, haha!" when the number/percentage of age 65+ Americans keeps growing.

And it actually makes sense and ties into the Social Security problem. U.S. birth rates aren't even high enough to sustain the population (need the brownification to help with that), whereas the 65+ crowd is living longer and longer, and we have another 5-6 years of Boomers becoming 65 this decade. By 2029 what we once called Baby Boomers will all be Fox News Boomers.

It doesn't matter if the electorate is skewing younger if the younger portion of the electorate doesn't actually vote.

Old people vote. They vote more than young people. Until that changes, old folks will have a greater say in elections.
