    "Tiger is not as good as Jack because Jack finished second more"
    "Second place is the first loser"
    "Tiger is not nearly as magnificant as Phil is"
    "Tiger is God"
    "Tiger never came from behind in a major"
    "Tiger wins because everybody else chokes on Sunday when they see his red shirt"
    "Tiger winced in pain when he missed his shots, he was not hurt"
    "Tiger's U.S. Open on one leg was more heroic than 9/11 fire fighters"

    OK, that about sums it up.

    We're not the only country. But when other countries need help from tyrannical despots, tinpot dictators or simply evil men with bad intentions, they don't pick up the phone and call Finland.

    Other countries generally don't know they have these people until America, self-appointed arbiter of all such matters, tells them that it's so. Generally these decisions are made based on whether or not America has any particular use for each individual country or despot. See "Hussein, Saddam," "Noriega, Manuel," "Ortega, Daniel," etc.
