I'm a little bugged by something.
On the NBC telecast either Saturday or Sunday, they identified Jack Nicklaus and Bobby Jones as being Tiger's superiors in the majors department. They cited Jones as having 13 majors.
Well, that just doesn't add up.
Jones won the U.S. Open four times and The Open Championship three times. That's seven. If you want to give him credit for the U.S. Amateur (five) and the British Amateur (one) as majors, that's perfectly fine.
But Woods has three U.S. Amateurs -- which means he's already up to 15.
And the magic number then would be 21, one more than Nicklaus' total of 20. Personally, I consider that to be the real record.
You can't just mix and match as you see fit.

The PGA and Masters did not exist when Jones played. They give him credit for wins in the four major tournaments of his era.

    You are absolutely right.

Tiger is either ahead 15-13, or 12-0.

Jeez... who's the golem predicting that Woods pulls a James Dean?
