Both knocked out in their first match at HSBC World Match Play in Wentworth, England.

Woods loses to Shaun Micheel, 4&3

Furyk loses to Robert Karlsson, 4&3

Tiger KO'ed by Shaun Micheel. Hope those who bought tickets for match play aren't too disappointed. LOL.

Just gives him more time to prepare for the Ryder Cup.

Up next for Shaun Micheel, he faces the Undertaker in a steel cage match.

Tiger's plenty used to losing in the Ryder Cup, so maybe this is just a warmup. Chronic Ryder Cup underachiever.

    Shaun Micheel (15) def. Tiger Woods (2), 4 & 3

    Robert Karlsson (14) def. Jim Furyk (3), 4 & 3

    Paul Casey (12) def. Retief Goosen (5), 6 & 4

    Angel Cabera (11) def. Ernie Els (6), 2 & 1

How was Woods not the #1 seed?

That ranking might have been based on the last WGC event, which I recall Woods losing to Campbell.

Defending champion of the event automatically gets a 1 seed, which Campbell won the tournament last year.

You think anyone, especially Tiger and Furyk, give a rat's ass they lost in the first round of a European Tour match play event? BFD. They'll be ready for next week.

She's his beard. His caddy probably handles the sex part for him.

Paul Casey defeated Shaun Micheel 10 and 8 in today's final.

Perhaps Micheel should be thankful he ever won a major (PGA Championship) after hearing this about him in today's AP story on the final.

He did have Tiger Woods in a first-round match at the Match Play, but today's story said he had to send out his laundry on Saturday because he didn't pack enough shirts ... obviously thinking he wouldn't still be playing.

What athlete plans to lose? What a schmuck. No confidence in his game? He beat Tiger. Perhaps that should have been his first clue that he belongs. I know it is match play, but why go to England if you can't plan accordingly as if you want to win??!!
