...and a great trivia question. I'll try that on all my golfing buddies.

And you and your caddie would have to be real dolts not to notice the extra club during an 18-hole round.

It could be hiding behind another club, trying not to get noticed.

The 20 and 18 score . . . yes, you can win many bar bets with that.

Oh, and I forgot maybe one of the best ones.

Two college players from the same school are playing in an event, not a college tournament, and both are using their logoed team bag. Both players happen to play the same kind of clubs. Both players set their bags in the same place near the green and — yes, you can probably tell where this is going — one player goes and pulls a club out of the wrong bag. He gets penalized for borrowing equipment and, needless to say, it's not a happy situation.

That is proof that there are too many stupid rules in golf.

I believe the caddie noticed it on the first or second hole, not the 18th.

Woosie's caddie noticed it on the second tee, just after a birdie at No. 1.

I wish I'd been there to hear him break the news. I think it was something like, "You're not going to be happy about this."

And Royal Lythm was the only course where majors are played where that likely would have happened. The first hole is a par-3, so the player is hitting an iron. If the first hole had been a par-4 or par-5, I'm sure Woosnie and the caddie would have noticed. All you have to do is remove the club from the bag before you hit a tee shot.

My Tiger predictions for the year

He goes at least 25 under in wins at Augusta and the Open at Torrey Pines

He shoots 62 or better at a major

    He wins three majors

Only injury can keep him from Nicklaus, obviously

  12. One of the Golf Digest gurus is predicting Woods chops down Nelson's streak this year.
