I thought the thread on tires said "ties."

So I am starting a ties thread.

I have a million of them, although I don't wear them too, too often. And I should probably dump some that I purcahsed before I realized what I like. Like many things in life, it is a process. The current guidelines: Usually no more or less than three inches wide. That's pretty much perfect. Not shiny. Simple pattern like a stripe or dots. Subtle colors - so no screaming red power ties.

Thinking about going with this one, for example:

    (Great site, by the way.)

Best I ever saw was in the old St. Louis Arena. Red Wings went up 4-0 and the place emptied out, meaning I was able to move down from standing room only. Blues stormed back to tie it. Detroit thought they had the winner late but it was disallowed because it was kicked in. My first NHL game in person.

If we're going that route: Notre Dame-Michigan State, 1966.

I have a few superhero ties and sports logo ties that attract attention.

Jack Brisco and Dory Funk Jr. had some great 60-minute ones back in the 70s.

They should be lined so as not to cause discomfort. And always use a safeword.
