For the Super Bowl...only one without a TD pass?

Oh hell, the football has a half-stripe on it.

    Winner-winner, chicken dinner.

The only time a ball with stripes was used in a Super Bowl.

The first home-ice goal by the Flyers was scored by Bill Sutherland on 10/19/67 in a 1-0 victory in their NHL home opener. Also the first career start/shutout for goalie Doug Favel.

Any idea why they used that kind of ball?

Supposedly a dark and dreary day and the lights at Rice not up to modern-day standards.

That ball was used for other games in 1973. Don't know if it was every game.

If I hadn't gotten in on this late, I would have nailed that one. I have a Wilson poster with the first 40 Super Bowl official game balls, and VIII is the only one with a stripe.

VIII is also the first Super Bowl with the two-helmet end zone design, with the conference logo in the second helmet, that was used for many years.

    4. Sandy Koufax . As a member of nine NBA title winning teams, Bill Russell was overlooked, no?

Arnold Palmer is correct. I'd forgotten about that question.
