They must have smelled something in the air. It was obvious when you thought about it, really: Francisco Cordova was pitching, for crying out loud.

And how many years ago was that?

I am not an expert on ASU sports. I know them, but by no means am I an expert. ;)

Micro, for #5, did this player play more than 162 games in a Pirate uniform?

5 couldn't be Jason Kendall, could it?

In fact, it is Jason Kendall, .306 for the Pirates between 1996-2004.

No. 1 is out there, didn't think it would be that tough.

Hey, Cordova was pretty good for about two years, including that one.

No, the reason for the big crowd was in my post. It was fireworks night. You could draw a crowd to watch lawn bowling in Pittsburgh if you promised to show fireworks when it was over.

No. 1: They were all final outs in a perfect game?

    Close enough.
They were the final outs of the four perfect games pitched in the 1960s: Stephenson, of the Mets, in Jim Bunning's Father's Day masterpiece; Kuenn, of the Cubs, in Koufax's, the game in which loser Bob Hendley gave up one hit; Petrocelli, of the Red Sox, in Dean Chance's 5-inning perfecto, and Reese, of the Twins, in Catfish's, in which Hunter also drove in three runs.

And we are done. Thanks for playing.
