Trivia time No. 8. Play or don't. Internet searches discouraged.

    1. I played 13 NFL seasons, played in two Super Bowls and five Pro Bowls, was a four-time all-star, and made my franchise's Silver Anniversary team. But I never played college football. Who am I?

    2. Two sports-related movies have won an Oscar as the best picture. Which ones?
ANSWER: "Rocky" and "Charriots of Fire." The list I used as research apparently did not consider "Million Dolar Baby" as a sports movie.

    3. Who was the first driver to race in the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day?
    ANSWER: John Andretti is correct.

    4. What is the name of the University of Washington's mascot Husky?
ANSWER: Harry the Husky is right.

    5. Who is the last Northeast Conference team to win a game in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
    ANSWER: Robert Morris, in 1983.

I'm confused about the first question ... a five-time Pro Bowler and four-time All Star?

    2. Rocky, Million Dollar Baby. Would Chariots of Fire not qualify?

Oh, and I guess I'd have to amend my first answer ... While Brando played a former boxer in 'On the Waterfront,' I guess it wasn't really a sport-related movie. Chariots of Fire is the other.

Forgot about "Million $ Baby," too. Perhaps because it sucked.

According to my research, this man was a four-time all-star but played in five pro bowls. He must have gone once as an alternate.

    5. Was it CCSU? I know they've at least come close a few times.

I guess I just never made a distinction. I always just figured Pro Bowler to be the NFL term for All Star.
