    No. 10 is not a trick question. Phil Mickelson is a left-handed golfer, even though he is right-handed. But his first tour win was the 1991 Northern Telecom Open (as an amateur), not in the 1980s.

    No. 7 is not Carl Lewis. It's Eddie Eagan. Boxing and bobsled (I think). Trivial remnant from the days I used to love following the Olympics. I thought he was the only athlete of any nationality to do it, but I'm not sure about that.

    Actually the question is wrong, more than one man did. You forgot Barry Switzer, who won titles at Oklahoma and then Super Bowl XX something with the Cowboys.
