OK, I looked up the answer. He beat my guess by four strikeouts. And micro is right. It's not a name you would think of.

Tried to look up 1 and was met with a Baseball-Reference subscriber-only page. I can tell you that No. 134 on the strikeout list from 2001-2008 was Tomo Ohka. For numbers 2-133, you guys will have to tell me.

    OK, it's 6:30 p.m. EST. The answer to No. 1 is ....
    Javier Vasquez, with 1,567.

    That's a real stumper.

Thanks for playing, see ya'll next week.

    1. Steak Snabler guessed that at 4:44 EST.

    2. Johan Santana has 1,587 during that timeframe.

    3. Pedro Martinez has 1,583 during that timeframe.

Thew question was amended to 2001-08 at 16:43, and I missed Snake's amended answer at 14:44. My bad. he's correct.

Martinez has 1,299 Ks from 01-08, Santana 1,523.

Sorry for the confusion. It's Friday.

Sorry. Didn't see that it was amended to exclude 2000.
