Again - read the speech - Bush clearly layed out 2 objectives - both related to fighting terror around the globe.

Is this the part of the speech you're referring to? In which case, the U.S. and its allies overthrew a dangerous regime because it was trying to obtain weapons of mass destruction.

Well, could you be a dear and point it out for the rest of us?

Rather than send us on a cryptic scavenger hunt, why don't you just tell us what you think? How is the war in Iraq "fighting terrorism"? And from much farther back in the thread, how does our implementation of that war match up with what was said in the 2002 State of the Union?

Well, that's interesting. So why did the presidency paint the invasion of Iraq as neccesary to depose Hussein and rid him of the weapon's of mass destruction he was said to have obtained.

Is it because "We're going to start a war in another country so we can bring terrorists to us over there" wouldn't be a very good argument to lay before the UN or the American people?

Again - stop being lazy and go back and read the speech. That was clearly our line in the sand with Islamic terrorists and other despots around the world. The President spelled out his plan and has been unwaivering.

As far as WMD's the case was being made well before Bush got into office and was also well supported by many Democrats. Shall I provide some quotes for you?
