Picked up a 12-pack of throwback Pepsi earlier at the grocery store. I'm a big fan of "Mexican coke" in the glass bottles but this Pepsi Classic tastes like Diet.

I didn't realize they changed/modified the recipe. I thought they were just using the old logo.

    Huh.

It's not really a new thing, since they did it last year.

And they didn't really change the recipe.

They just use real sugar, instead of high fructose corn syrup.

They do it for Mt. Dew as well.

Throwback Pepsi is good, but not as good as Mexican Coke.

Throwback Dew, I am surprised to say, is fairly awful.

You should try Colombian Coke if you like Mexican Coke.

I did not like the Throwback Dew.

    Still love the MexiCoke, however.

I tried it - tasted less syrupy than current recipe Pepsi. Supposedly there's a Dr. Pepper version too, but I have been unable to locate it here in the southeast.

The Dr Pepper is on its way.

I love the old school Pepsi logo.

recently found a drive-thru place that has the mexican coke. cost like three bucks for a bottle but worth it.

Yup. I think it's smoother going down but other than it being a teensy bit sweeter, I can't really taste the difference.

I've always liked the Cheerwine in a glass bottle because it uses sugar rather than corn syrup, so I'm really liking this throwback thing.

As long as they bring back those 1977-era machines, with long, glass bottles that you pull the Pepsi out horizontally...
