I personally believe Berkman belongs in the Dave Justice wing of the Hall of Fame and Helton definitely should go into the Larry Walker wing.

Wade Boggs, Orlando Cepeda, Tony Perez and Willie McCovey might disagree.

Sorry, micro, all four of those guys belong in the Hall

There is no credible evidence against Thome at all. None. No way in hell that should be counted against him. He should get in easily.

Sorry, but that is a ridiculously-thin premise to deny the guy the Hall of Fame.

No/ No / No - Thome close but discounted on being part of PED era.

More foolishness. So no hitter from the last 20 years gets in? Because that is basically the argument you are making.

He's also walked over 1,600 times to go with those homers. Top 10 all-time in each category.

It's also amazing to think that a guy who hit .325 and has more walks than strikeouts in a 14-year career and counting isn't a lock to make it.

I never saw Thome as a PED guy.
It wasn't like he was shredded, like McGwire, Bagwell, Bonds, etc.
He was a big boy when he arrived in Cleveland and got bigger. Not all muscle, not all fat, just a blend of both.
I put him in the 'big, country-boy' categoy, like Adam Dunn - who is 100 percent PED free based on his video game commercial with Griffey.

The thing with that argument is, does someone like Berkman, who has had the natural arc of a career seen without steroids, help him? If Berkman had played in the 70s and 80s, doesn't his career mirror Hall of Famers from those eras?
