Three Killed in Shooting at Auburn Apartment Complex EDIT: Suspect in Custody

Seeing some info on-line about a shooting at a party at Auburn. Alleged victims may include current & former Auburn football players.

From what I'm reading on twitter, it looks like it could be true and one of the players maybe dead. Happened at a pool party from what is being reported.

Doubt anyone from SJ would post now if they're trying to cover this. Just got a scare on my beat with a plane coming back from the NCAA Championships at Des Moines having cracked glass in the cockpit at 37,000 feet and having to make a scary landing (reportedly via Twitter).

Everyone on the plane is safe, so obviously this news out of Auburn is much, much more scary. Thoughts and prayers to all involved.

I'm seeing the same thing on Twitter. WSFA-TV posted a short blip on their website, but no further details were given.

I have a bad feeling about this.

Yet to be confirmed but it appears two former Auburn football players died - one at the scene, one at the hospital - and a current player is being treated at the hospital. Shooting may have been the result of an argument over a girl.

Chad Slade has tweeted his roommate has passed (Ed Christian). Zeke Pike tweeted something to the effect of two players looking out for them from above now.

I've heard that Christian and Phillips have died; Mack is in stable condition.

Rumors everywhere that two AU football players were killed, but nothing official. What's weird is that the AP story has lots of detail from the OA News, but their website has nothing but a tiny brief. Al.com and the Columbus paper say nothing about football players, but their sports beat writers are covering it. Strange situation.

I've seen two former and one current Auburn players dead. The current player, Eric Mack, reportedly died in the hospital.

Read on Twitter that the Twitter account for the Auburn Plainsman, the school newspaper, has been suspended because too much information was being released, which is another less-important issue for another time.
