I got more pelts than you (channeling Sid Rosenberg: though none courtesy of the great Mr. Friedman and only a small number via the incredible moddy di tutti moddies himself).

For me, it is occasionally that I am responding to an insult with a more acerbic take (You know Connery's line... he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue).

But they never, ever, lock the thing after the personal shot toward me that has lit the fuse.

Occasionally, I am the first one in with a personal shot. It's happened. I'm not perfect, but that occurs in the extreme minority of the time. Someone pushes my button with a point the way I push most others'. They deserve big props.

Mostly though, a couple of the thin skins with god privileges don't like the way I hammer home a point, often with sarcasm dripping off my knife and a good pop-culture reference or other analogy/simile/metaphor.

I simply don't have favored-nation status with the middle-school-esque clique because I kiss no one's ass. It's that simple.

Fine, I will continue to try coaching these boys up.
