It's amazing how many "stripper" or "porn star" names creep into the top 10 of the girl's names...

Why anyone would name their daugher "Savannah or Madison" is beyond me. "Chloe" is borderline.

That's actually not as bad as I feared it would be.

 

The oddly placed "y" is always my favorite thing about the annual list of popular baby names, as in Ryleigh, which checks in at 193 this year. That's fantastic. The double-letter for no apparent reason is equally awesome, as in Maddison, which ranks 322nd this year.

Also, Destiny is a top 100 girls name.

 

Aaliyah ranks 42nd with just more than 5,000 (!!!) this year. Figured you might get a kick out of that.

 

What about Destynny?

 

That makes me happy. But it also makes me feel old whenever I see like a middle-schooler with that name and I realize she's been gone for almost 11 years.

 

No, but I checked, assuming it'd be on the list.

Destinee, however, checks in at 720th.

 

Then in 20 years you start hearing about what Destinee's child will be named
