  1. What kind of video camera does your shop use? I've heard you can cheap out because the file ends up being so compressed anyways. Is this true?

    for the web, I've used a sony pdx 10 (very nice for these purposes, white balances and everything, you can hook up wireless mics and use them at the same time as a nose mic, etc, but not more than you need) and I currently use a Panasonic PV-GS35, which really is nothing more than your standard MiniDV camcorder, and I use a sony mic that plugs into a mic jack. Not as nice as the PDX 10, but yeah, when you're compressing the file, so much quality is lost that its not really worth the big bucks. To me, anyway.
