Thompson finally enters race officially

A little late, but Thompson will apparently announce it on Leno tonight, according to CNN:

G-r-e-a-t... no more L&O from the past five seasons....

 

This is for an election in November ... of 2008, right?

It was just Labor Day ... of 2007, right?

I like how just because he doesn't declare when the jabbering class wants him to, that makes him "late."

 

I mean really, this guy has had an "exploratory committee" forever. He, like Hildabeast, Obama, $400 haircut, Romney, McOddball, NYC Mayor who once dressed in drag and the others, has been raising money for awhile. You just don't up and decide (there's a little bit of Lower Alabama vernacular) to just run for president.

He wasn't making speeches to hear the sound of his voice, that was for sure. It was a fait accompli that he was going to be in the race anyhow.

So what's the big deal?

Besides, the prospect of this presidential race starting more than a year before the election even happens is pretty mind-numbing. One can only take so much campaigning and I reached my maximum dosage of it about a month ago.

 

Actually, TNT has said it won't alter their programming. We'll see if it holds up.

Gotta love the prospect of a guy who was considered lazy in THE SENATE, where laziness runs rampant, running the country.
