I bought a refrigerator online from Sears a couple years ago and the entire experience left me with absolutely zero doubts as to why the company is going under. Good fridge though.

As of Sept. 17, there were 34 full-line Sears stores, Sears Grand, Sears Appliance & Mattress, and Sears Home Life stores remaining. Many of these are scheduled to close soon and there's a long drive to left field by Castellanos and it's 4-0.

The Sears in my town was scheduled to close in April 2020, but shut down when the pandemic struck in March. I had bought a pair of Dockers during their closeout sale and didn't notice that they didn't remove the plastic anti-theft devise. Now there are no nearby Sears stores to remove it. The store I visited is 100 miles away and I came upon it on chance.

Dammit, now I’ve been reminded of how much I miss both the other, awesome David Halberstam and Sears.
