    Damn, you guys may have just cost the DVD companies/rights holders to the TV programs a lot of money.

    I have a bin full of product like that, "must have" that if I'm being honest I have to admit now is "never watched."

    Of course, my head rests easier at night knowing I own the entire "Rockford Files" series and, y'know, could watch 'em any time I want to, if I ever want to.

    Of course, if a Rockford Files episode (or marathon) comes up during your channel-surfing, you'll still stop everything and watch it.

    The other thing is that stations used to reuse film, tape, etc., and never really thought of archiving anything. So much stuff was out there but never saved.
