This summer, no one will be safe... (a Van Halen reunion)

VAN HALEN REUNITES. (Minus Michael Anthony, I know.)

David Lee Roth is in talks to return as lead singer for a summer tour of theaters. Apologize if this is a d_b. Personally, my favorite song is "Why Can't This Be Love", but anything Roth-related... nice. First the Police, and now this?

Gee, 2007, the year of the reunions ... Police, Van Halen, Crowded House, Rage Against the Machines (supposedly a one-gig return). Can the Beatles reunite?

Sorry, but it's not a reunion without Michael Anthony.

Agreed. This is just as disingenuous as dudes touring as "Pink Floyd" with two drummers, two keyboard players, and no Roger Waters.

Oh, hi Junkie. Didn't see you there.

Excuse my stupidity, especially because I'm a long-time fan of VH.

But what happened to Michael Anthony?

Did he die and I missed it? Or did he get kicked out of the band?

    Thanks in advance.

    Fixed.

Hey, there are too many bands that tour with more on-stage energy and just as much showmanship for me to be impressed when they have to have extra musicians who did NOT appear on the album gravy train and take a portion of the touring cut.

Huh. Interesting. I always liked VH better with Hagar.

    Thanks for the info.

Oh yeah, and Wolfgang's a great name. Too bad his last name isn't Sobolewski.

Eddie Van Halen is completely, certifiably, batfuckingshit insane.

This reunion will be worth seeing just to see if he completely implodes on stage. He's starting to make Axl Rose look lucid.

I need a large, inflatable microphone and tight leather pants ... stat. And get David Lee Roth on the phone!

Agreed. I'm not sure there's any frontman, any band lineup that could possibly satisfy that monstrous ego.
