This kid should tell the NCAA to stick it.

I'm a State grad, but it's hard for me to muster any indignation about any specific situation in the whole morass that is NCAA/college basketball/AAU basketball. So much slime all over the place.

Dirty dealings have followed this kid for a long time.

The kid and his parents knew the rules going in. There are other options out there if you don't want to play college ball.

Third. It's all rotten and corrupt, and I wish a smart rich guy like Mark Cuban would just create a minor league basketball system for talented players aged 17/18 to whatever the legal limit is for the NBA. Cuban wouldn't ever do it, since he owns an NBA franchise, but if the money was good enough - $100k to $500k for a season? Pay for it with a TV contract on Spike? - I can't imagine one-and-done guys like OJ Mayo passing up the opportunity.

But no one ever noticed the converse.
