    This thread makes me think of. ...

    In the S-1 filing for WeWork's possible public offering, it was disclosed that the founder, Adam Neumann, had trademarked the word "we". ... and then turned around and sold it to WeWork for $6 million of the private equity money the company is swimming in (thanks Softbank!). Needless to say, it raised a lot of eyebrows, but amazingly it's an extremely small piece of the story about why they aren't getting much love for the IPO, let alone at a valuation anywhere near the $47 billion they wanted to put on the company.

    I imagine there will be a few vendors around Columbus breaking out boxes of scarlett and blue shirts with "THE" on them - and people will buy them for $20.
