    Stop being so pretentious. They're not "footballers" they are footballers. Just because two sports have the same name doesn't mean we have to pull this kind of stuff everytime one football or the other gets in the news. You think the NFL would ever start something like this on their own? I doubt it, so good job English footballers for starting something, maybe more will follow

    The thought is nice, I suppose, but they couldn't come up with a better cause than donating to public employees?

    I mean, British nurses may very well make crappy salaries. But within the context of world poverty, it seems like a odd "charity."
