Road cycling - I was a mountain biker. I laughed at my spandex-clad buddies who complained about rude drivers and shaved their legs. Then a few years ago, I made the switch. I have the spandex. I complain about rude drivers.

 

i bet the way spandex frames your ass actually stops crickets in the early morning.

Salad - Hated it as a kid. Why the hell would somebody eat rabbit food? Eventually tried it and liked it. On the rare occasion I eat out, it complements the meal nicely.

Grew up on that nasty cottage-cheese-looking, pastel green stuff from the supermarket. Moved west to a place of fresh avocados, discovered I loved adding a slice on a turkey sandwich, then decided to try some fresh guac soon after. Loved the stuff.
