Things to do in Orlando

Orlando supposedly rents more cars than anywhere in the world. I can't see how you could get by without one. I thought Downtown Disney was pretty cool. Saw Alice Cooper at the House of Blues during the PGA Merchandise Show one year. There's also a nice little town outside Orlando, Winter something, that was cool to walk around one afternoon last time I was there.

As far as rides at Universal, definitely do the Simpsons Ride.
Technology is basically the same as the old Back to the Future ride but newer and the effect is a lot of fun.
Also, the Shrek 4D show is really well done.
If you go to Islands of Adventure, don't miss Spiderman. The best high tech ride in existence, IMO.
Have fun!

I vote for heading over to Cape Canaveral. It's about 45 minutes away.

You could also look into a short cruise out of Port Canaveral.

Church Street Station is toast. Got caught up in the Lou Pearlman mess. Foreclosed upon back in the spring.

Slightly off the path: Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, about an hour east of Orlando.

Also, you must go to Gatorland.

OBT ... true. But if you drop anything in front of the Parliament House Motor Court, don't bend over to pick it up.

I Drive has it going on.

Boardwalk and Baseball AND Church Street are no more? That blows.

I was there for about 6 months 20 years ago when I was in the Navy. We had a lot of fun on the weekends.

Cirque du Soleil, La Nouba, at Downtown Disney (West Side).

It's a bit pricey, but really good.

However, pass on the Wolfgang Puck restaurant right down the plaza unless overpriced, mediocre food is your thing.
