He probably drinks that much Gatorade before a start anyway.

I was flipping through a slideshow on The 51 Best College Bars In America.

The bar listed from my college town didn't exist when I was in college.

Did it exist as a bar? Half the ones in Tuscaloosa change names and owners seemingly every fall, but they're always bars.

The original bar was on the site of what had been a parking lot when I left in 1993, but the bar was there by 1995 when I came back through town. Looking it up now, I see that the bar has moved from its first location to the site of an old family steakhouse that I did used to frequent.

    Thanks. Now I feel older.

I wrenched my knee about a year and a half ago. Hospital said it was a sprain but I'm halfway convinced it was more. Anyway if I keep it in one position too long it starts to ache. If it gets too cold, it aches. I'm not old enough for body parts to ache!

My knee really fucking hurts. I've been researching things about the Hospital for Special Surgery. The time is closer than I'd like to think

All of y'all with various achy body parts - it'll get worse.

What makes it bad for me is that I know too much. I've been in an OR and seen things like total knee replacement surgery and artificial hips put in. You really don't expect to see doctors using a Craftsman drill and a big fucking hammer to install new body parts. If anything it's worse than it sounds. I'm talking about pulling a leg with a gaping incision into a really awkward position and then taking a big chrome mallet and beating the metal parts into place, really wailing on them... on a little bird of a granny's leg.

That's what I fear and why I'm upset that I have achy body parts now.

I'm 40 and already have an arthritic back.

    It's all downhill from here.
