    I avoid weddings where alcohol will be served. I'm not fond of groups of drunk fools.

    Seriously. Booze is by far the best reason to go to a wedding.

    It's everything else about them that sucks.

    We probably live in different parts of the country. I'm scheduled to attend one Friday that most certainly will not be serving booze.

    Cash bars at weddings irk me, but I can't say they anger me beyond irked.
    They just seem to be ubiquitous, which is sad.

    I got married in 2012, and we had an open bar. People were genuinely surprised.

    weddings that take place any other day than saturday or sunday irk me. oh and you people getting married on holiday weekends? GFY

    Saturday is the day for weddings. No other day of the week should be an option.

    Also destination weddings - no.
    I'll fly to NJ or NY for a wedding because I have friends and relatives there.
    We have friends here in CA who got married in Italy.
    Seriously? I'm just a regular middle class guy. I'm not starving, but I also don't have $6k to spend just to attend your f@cking wedding.

    I have no problem with cash bars. But charge 2 or 3 bucks, don't gouge people.
