    The IOC.

Just once I would like to see a boycott of the bidding to be an Olympic host and force a re-awarding of the Games to a recently financially crippled city/country that has been a previous "winner".

Teams claiming to have "shocked the world" when they win.

Blogs that steal their stories from newspapers and then write columns on how bad newspapers are.

    The X Games

High school sports being treated like the pros

People who've never watched luge getting excited about the USA going for the gold every four years.

    Message boards

Something being called "one of the fastest growing sports" when it really isn't, or a "sport making a comeback."

ESPN showing a game, then going to Sportscenter, where the first thing they talk about is the game that just concluded.

Derek Jeter making a routine play, cutting off a throw from the outfield or backing up a throw, and the announcers rambling on for 20 minutes about how "cerebral" he is.

You can't overlook Jeter's intangibles. And he has calm eyes when at bat.

I basically looked around my apartment for what was there when I posted that. Everything except the Colt .45 was present.

Defenders who try to strip the ball instead of just tackling the guy.

Defenders who pick up a incomplete pass or non-fumble and run down the field like they're gonna score.

    Tebow.

    THE Ohio State University.

Technically, the Chevy is just outside. But it is within eyesight.
