    NBA and the official Olympics web site called them sets the entire Olympics.

    international rules will sift down, but it takes a while. if ncaa is using it now, pretty sure the high schools pick it up after, what, two years?

    In the USA Volleyball Scorekeeper's test, "set" is used for the first, second or third portion of the match, while "game" is NEVER used (not to describe the complete event and not to describe the first, second or third part)

    So a volleyball match is a best of five sets in college and a best of three sets in high school (at least in Kentucky).
