If the South Park guys can make a beloved musical poking fun at Mormons, it can surely be done. Probably not by Adam Sandler, though, who makes R-rated movies aimed at 6-year-olds.

 

Really? You think making fun of Mormons without incident proves you can get a studio to make a laugh-riot comedy filled with racial slurs and gay stereotypes?

Making fun of Mormons doesn't even cause a blip on the radar.

 

I would be curious if Airplane! or Kentucky Fried Movie could be made today.

Bad News Bears could not be made the way the original was.

I'm guessing some of the James Bond movies would have to be toned down, god forbid you have a villain who is gay or has an accent.

 

The Mormon church advertises in the program.

 

It will be interesting if it ever gets a film version.

 

Hell, most Bugs Bunny cartoons are almost impossible to find on TV. Speedy Gonzalez, the Taco Bell Chihuahua...

There are a couple I would agree with not being able to do, specifically Revenge of the Nerds, which a lot of us though was hilarious 30+ years ago, but in hindsight is way too rapey.
