Tomas Holmstrom allowed his cousin to use the Cup as a baptismal font.

I can't wait for the outrage from the hockey purists. :)

If they don't like it, they probably said something in 1996 as well -- it's been done before.

"Baptism — Talk about a great save: In 1996, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Sylvain Lefebvre had his daughter baptized in the cup."

JR....the "purists"? I've never heard anyone complain about what has been done with the Stanley Cup.....and a baptism doesn't crack the top 50 of crazy things players have used the Cup for.

Do you hear many people complaining about the Cup's exploits up North?

BTW, how many rooms in your igloo?

Kris Draper's kids ate cereal out of the Cup.

Someone's baby a couple years ago took a crap in the Cup. Wonder how the hockey purists feel about that?

As long as the two weren't at the same time, I guess it's OK....

The hockey purist thing was a lame joke.

Separation of hockey and religion stupid joke.
