I just skimmed through this thread, and like most of Yawn's threads, it's pretty pointless.

But this is crazy:

Seriously? Nepal isn't fucked up? Far be it from me to defend Yawn, but...Jesus.

The fact a lot of Nepalis are Buddhists doesn't make them fucked up, but there's plenty else fucked up to going around.

 

I cop to the hyperbole.

But is Nepal more fucked up than the USA? Nope.

 

I'm happy to agree to disagree. But I'd say a 10-year Maoist insurgency, an utterly corrupt monarchy and political system and the crazy Dipendra massacre are way more fucked-up-ness than we've got here in the U.S.
