Sorry if this is a DB, but I didn't see it anywhere at first glance.

    Per profootballtalk.com:

"A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that ESPN is yanking analyst Joe Theismann from Monday Night Football. Earlier this year, the network said that the lineup for the weekly NFL broadcast would return unchanged in 2007.

"Per the source, the likely replacement for Theismann is Ron Jaworski ..."

Jaws is good people. Theisman is a scumbag. Good move.

It will probably help that Jaws was a regular on PTI on Mondays, and he seemed to get along very well with Tony.

Theismann and Kornheiser never seemed to not get along. And he was a guest on TK's radio show long before they were on MNF. Doubt this has anything to do with off-mic dynamics.

    Love the Jaworski move.

Just two more moves, and they'd be set.

    Dick Vermeil for Mr. Tony
    Brad Nessler for Mike Tirico.

But the first one is the best one they can make to start.

As Rotoworld put it: This news is so enjoyable it probably isn't true.
