Lost my job three weeks ago today and then woke up to find my dog had died overnight. Can it get any worse?

    TwoGloves,

Sorry to hear. I'm really hoping all of us in journalism climb out of this abyss to a much happier place on the other side. A place where they appreciate our talents and skills and pay us what we're worth and we don't have to work holidays.

My condolences. The dog would bother me much, much more than the job but maybe that's just me.

Golden retriever. 8 1/2 years old. Healthy as a horse two days ago, or so it seemed.

I'm linking Rainbow Bridge this time, just because it makes me cry.

I'm so sorry for your loss, twogloves. Pets bring us so much comfort when we're going through hard times, and nobody deserves to have that comfort yanked away from them like that.
