    I absolutely agree. Rourke brought a realism to the role that was astounding.

    Finally saw it myself a couple of weeks ago. Rourke's performance was excellent.

    I didn't really get Tomei's performance (besides the stripping part). I just didn't feel that there was that special connection between her and Rourke.

    Wood did a nice job in her final scene with Rourke, but overall, she was only in what, 3 or 4 scenes. The dancing scene was very touching, though.
