elsewhere i raged against espn for a boston-oriented story.

though i would never have imagined i'd praise their reporting, here is a story deserving international outrage: 'Euro Cup Finals Will Be Held In A Prison That Was Used In WWII'

    http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3457493&categoryId=2378529

the headline and conclusion actually and horrifically downplay their own conclusions, but without this report the entire story and game play would have likely gone unnoticed.

this place was not just a prison; it was a way station to hell.

the playing of this tournament here is an abomination.

that there is anything here but a memorial is a disgrace.

those of you watching this tournament from this place should be ashamed.

I am going to go ahead and disagree on that.

Maberger, did you not watch the entire video, particularly the last 10 seconds where Gershon Evan, the last known living survivor of the Vienna Soccer Stadium prison, wishes he could be at the Euro Finals in order to see the stadium as a place of good competition and celebration?

No one is asking anyone to forget what happened there.
