What I like so much about corporate-speak is how they claim to have these great revelations about things you'd think they were already doing.

For example, one company said "managing talent effectively has become a priority..."

What, up until that moment, you made it a point to have your people in a cluster of an arrangement? You had IT guys answering phones and executives wiping toilet seats?

As an aside...the term monies is one I abhor!!!!!! It's money, which is both single and plural. Monies is horrible. HORRIBLE!

I'm not liking the mindset on this thread.

We're really failing to capitalize on our synergies, maybe due to limited bandwidth.

If we can think outside the box in terms of a solution set, we can definitely fast track to a winning idea.

At the end of the day, I know this thread can be a real value add.

The bottom line is we need to repurpose this thread.

I'd suggest we partner with Moddy to facilitate an offsite symposium.

agreed. If we don't, I think we're going to need to do some rightsizing.

BTW - I like the term metrics. Its more discriptive than say measurements or benchmarks.
We need to put the question to William Saffire as to how it should be really used.

Boom, it shouldn't be used in polite conversation.

Then we should be using it here in every other post.

Our Male to Female ratio is unacceptably high. We either need to bring in more women or cut some sausage.

We need to conference and come up with some breakthroughs and strategize our priorities on this initiative.
