The detective that staggers out of Kavanaughs is Ed Norris, and this is his quote as he hands them the shots:

"Wake up and die right, you c.u.n.t.s."

I think I may watch the Season 4 finale again and post some thought this weekend.

My favorite line from the entire show thus far (only on season 2 now)

"Takes a whore to catch a whore." -- Kima

There was just so much revelation and intelligence in that line.

    Sirs, Madames,

After watching up to Episode 5 last night, whom do I bump elbows with at the bar tonight but ...

the director of the first two episodes of The Wire, Clark Johnson, vet of Homocide.

Nicest guy--his sisters are chanteuses on the Toronto scene. But doesn't watch The Wire beyond what he works on (so he says, "the king stays the king" lost on him).

Met him thru a buddy who is an AD and former stuntman who worked with CJ.

    Your Star-Struck Servant, etc

That's awesome. Loved the Meldrick Lewis character. If he and Bunk weren't based on the same person, they're at least kindred spirits.

Possibly the most underrated line of the series -- and one of the only ones that gets repeated:

    McNulty's, "What'd I do?"

Didn't Clark Johnson used to play in the NFL? For the Bills, I think?

    Was I loud last night?

    Edit 1/20 7:20 a.m.

Came home from work last night at 1:00 and then dreamt I went on a McNulty-like bender that included talking camels, a moving truck, a pay phone and me trying to figure out how to properly crash a car like McNulty did in Season 2. I think I need help. LOL

OK, that's it. I'm quitting the world of sports journalism and I'm making it my mission to be the next Jimmy McNulty in every facet of life. Booze-hound, couch-hound and a damn good poe-leece. I just watched Episode 7 from Season 3. Hefner's got nothing on him.
